Lake Pointe School Teacher Brent Caldwell

                         Lake Pointe School Teacher: "I try to share only                                                   positive things."

Brent Caldwell's own personal philosophy is: "I try to share only positive things with people around me because there are already so many negative things in our daily basis. I don't want to add to that."



Caldwell, a Student Success Academy Teacher at Lake Pointe Elementary School, in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School district, USA, has just had his long hair - all 14 inches of it - cut off. His hair has been growing for more than three years since the last time it was cut. He is donating his hair for Something Good. 

In an article Ben Russell NBC Dallas explained that Caldwell donates his hair to "Hair We Share." That nonprofit organization makes and provides wigs for people who have lost their hair because of a medical condition. 

Lake Pointe Elementary School's Act of Kindness project is an effort to complete 10 million acts of kindness by the end of this school year.

The philosophy that Caldwell tries to pass on to his students is: "Our only real job as people is to make someone else's day better or make someone else feel better. When you get older you are going to be running the world and we need good people in charge. So this is a good way to start."

       FLAVAINE CARVALHO SAVES CHILD FROM ABUSE   It was New Years Day 2021 and Flavaine Carvalho , a waitress at Mrs. Potato restaurant in Orlando, Florida was busy taking orders. A family of four settled into their place at a nearby table and the adult male signaled that they were ready to place their order. Flavaine took their order and walked away toward the kitchen.   Sometime after she served the family she noticed that no food was placed before the boy (who she figured was about 11 years old.)   WAY TO GO, ALEKSANDER DOBA! Aleksander Doba loved planet Earth. He loved its seas, and its mountains.  He kayaked westward across the vast Atlantic Ocean, all by himself and under his own power - the last time in 2017 when he was 70 years of age.
